About the Role

Purpose of the position:
The purpose of SOLINK’s Marketing Manager is to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that effectively promote the consultancy's services to businesses and organizations seeking sustainable energy solutions. This role involves understanding the unique needs of the target market, creating and executing marketing campaigns that highlight the consultancy's expertise, and driving brand awareness and lead generation. Key responsibilities include market research, content creation, digital marketing, event management, and building strong relationships with key industry stakeholders. The goal is to position the consultancy as a leader in the renewable energy sector, fostering long-term client relationships and driving business growth.

The candidate must have strong time and people management skills, be a problem solver and solution finder with drive to seek continuous improvement. This position will help drive the company forward and towards achieving its vision.


What you will be doing:

● Oversee the work of a Paid Media Buyer across B2B channels (Meta, LinkedIn, X)
● Manage organic content including user-generated content (UGC), podcasts, social media, thought leadership, and more.
● Use Google Analytics to analyze conversion events and inform campaign strategies.
● Track and report on campaign performance metrics on a weekly basis.
● Research and plan strategy for attending and presenting at relevant conferences.
● Maintain and update performance dashboards with current data.
● Conduct A/B testing for landing pages to improve conversion rates.
● Assist in developing and implementing a new brand, including creating brand guidelines, designing logos, and marketing materials, and coordinating with departments to ensure consistent messaging and identity.
● Ensure organizational alignment with new brand guidelines.
● Develop and align marketing objectives with overall business goals.
● Create and edit long-form videos into engaging reels, LinkedIn posts, and shorts to capture attention and convey key messages.
● Use Canva to design visually appealing graphics for social media.
● Schedule and post content across social media platforms, maintaining consistency and timeliness.
● Write compelling and informative captions that align with the brand’s voice and resonate with the target audience.
● Conduct hashtag research to increase content visibility and engagement.
● Develop and manage content calendars for social media activities.
● Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages, fostering a positive and interactive environment.
● Manage the founder's social media presence to enhance their thought leadership in the financial sector.
● Develop and execute go-to-market campaigns for products and services.
● Ensure consistency in positioning, messaging, and branding across all product marketing materials (landing pages, product pages, slide decks, brochures, etc.).
● Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy including webinars, podcasts, case studies, blog posts, LinkedIn content, newsletters, etc.
● Increase quality website traffic and convert that traffic into leads through form fills.
● Create and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance brand visibility.
● Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and customer feedback to inform marketing tactics and content creation.
● Ensure effective product marketing with clear value propositions and market positioning.
● Maintain quality control across all marketing channels and uphold branding standards.
● Optimize marketing channels to maximize market reach while minimizing costs.
● Measure and analyze return on marketing investment.
● Translate marketing events and initiatives into ROI metrics.

Remuneration:
R400,000.00 - R480,000.00 cost to company per annum.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in a similar industry.

  • Proven track record of managing successful marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social, content, etc.).


Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven marketing.

  • Proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Marketo).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to create compelling content and marketing materials.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with A/B testing and optimizing marketing strategies.

  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices.

  • Proficient in graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Familiarity with video editing software and techniques.


Other:

  • Strong understanding of the B2B sales process and customer journey.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.


Preferred:

  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) strategies.

  • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications in marketing or related fields.

Experience in the industry specific to the job posting.


The candidate should have excellent communication and organisational skills.
